LEXUS CONGRATULATES CANADA FOR WINNING THE DAVIS CUP BY RAKUTEN FINALS 2022

The Davis Cup by Rakuten Finals 2022 concluded yesterday with the Canadian team crowned worthy winners. Taking place in Malaga from November 22 to 27, competitors experienced the inimitable hospitality that has become synonymous with the Lexus brand. As the official car sponsor of the tournament, Lexus was responsible for the transportation of players and teams to and from the tennis village, across the group and knock-out stages of the competition.

With a focus on “Lexus Electrified”, the brand’s ongoing sustainability vision, the partnership with the Davis Cup brought about an opportunity for Lexus to connect with tennis fans that share their passion for craftsmanship, dedication, and artistry. Spotted throughout the finals were the RX 500h performance turbo hybrid, the NX 450h+ plug-in hybrid, the battery electric RZ 450e and the UX 250h self-charging hybrid.

Pascal Ruch, Vice President in charge of Lexus Europe, commented:

“We have been treated to another exhilarating Davis Cup Finals this year. Lexus has the incredible honor of sharing the stage with some of the most talented athletes in the world of tennis, and fans of the competition were in for a treat. As official automotive partner, Lexus was responsible for facilitating luxurious and comfortable transportation for all athletes and teams – an electrifying opportunity to showcase Japan’s famous philosophy of Omotenashi.”

David Ferrer, Director of the Davis Cup Finals, said:

"Much like the incredible talent and determination of this year’s finalists, we’re proud to consider Lexus a supporter of the competition and one of the long-standing partners that help us deliver the largest annual world championship in sport. For the 143 nations that entered this year, to the 16-team round-robin in the Finals, Lexus has stood out as a key partner in ensuring an amazing experience for competitors and fans alike.”
